About This Notice
This notice explains how information is handled when you browse caelor.co.uk or contact the CAÉLOR house. It covers general, trade, creator, press, corporate gifting and bespoke fragrance enquiries. The website is a catalogue: it does not currently take online orders, card payments or public account registrations.
For a question about your information, use the Contact Us form and choose “Privacy / data request”. You can also address written correspondence to CAÉLOR, c/o Soghaat Ltd, Unit 6 Aspley Business Park, Lincoln Street, Huddersfield, England, HD1 6RX. The registered brand ownership particulars are on our Legal Information page.
Information You Share
All enquiry and fragrance-suggestion forms ask for your name, email address and the information needed to understand your request. Depending on the form, this may include:
- General enquiries: your topic, message and an optional telephone number.
- Trade enquiries: business name and type, country, sales channels, website, territories, approximate quantities and timing.
- Creator enquiries: social profile links, platforms, audience-size bands, location, collaboration interests and how you propose to introduce CAÉLOR.
- Press enquiries: publication, role, website, request type and any editorial deadline.
- Gifting or fragrance projects: company or working brand name, country, approximate quantity, timing, budget, personalisation choices and your project brief.
Required fields are marked on each form. Optional fields can be left blank. If essential contact or request information is missing, we may be unable to respond meaningfully.
Please do not include payment-card details, passwords, medical information or other sensitive personal information in a message. Share another person's details only where you have an appropriate reason and permission to do so. The forms accept text and links, not file attachments.
Information From Using The Website
Our hosting service processes technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as an IP address, requested address, request time and browser information. Server logs are separate from information you type into a form.
The enquiry system uses a signed form token, a submission reference and short-lived security records to prevent spam, repeated submissions and abuse. For rate limiting, it stores protected digests of the relevant values, rather than recording the raw IP address in the enquiry record. Your message and contact details are stored in a private administrator inbox.
The public catalogue does not currently use advertising pixels or visitor analytics cookies. Fonts and page images are served from this website. See Cookies & Settings for browser storage details.
Why We Use Information
We use enquiry information to read and respond to requests, assess potential partnerships, discuss a project or bottle request, and maintain a record of the conversation. We rely on legitimate interests in answering people who contact the house and managing our business relationships. Where you personally ask us to take steps towards an agreement with you, processing necessary for those pre-contract steps may also apply.
Technical security processing supports our legitimate interest in keeping the website and its enquiry system available and protecting them against misuse. We may also retain or disclose information where necessary to meet a legal obligation or establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.
Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing. The forms do not currently enrol you in a mailing list. A privacy acknowledgement on a form confirms that you have been shown this notice; it is not consent to unrelated advertising.
You may object to processing based on legitimate interests because of your particular situation. If information is ever used for direct marketing, you may object to that use at any time.
International Handling
We welcome enquiries from different countries. The services involved in hosting, support and correspondence may involve processing in more than one country. Where a restricted transfer of personal information outside the UK is required, an appropriate transfer mechanism must be in place, such as an applicable adequacy regulation or approved contractual safeguards with any necessary additional protections.
You can ask us which providers are involved in handling your particular enquiry and about the safeguards relevant to that handling.
How Long Information Is Kept
Retention depends on the purpose of the record, whether a conversation is continuing, any resulting business relationship and applicable legal or dispute requirements. Enquiries remain in the private inbox until reviewed and removed by an administrator; there is no automatic expiry of the enquiry message.
We review records against their continuing purpose and remove information that is no longer needed. If an enquiry becomes a transaction or project, information necessary for that relationship may be retained with the relevant business records. Information needed for a legal obligation or a live dispute may need to be kept longer.
Short-lived form-security records expire separately. A submission-confirmation link is valid for 30 minutes. Rate-limit records use short expiry windows. Hosting logs and backups follow the provider's retention arrangements; deletion from the active inbox does not necessarily immediately remove a copy already in a rotating backup.
Your Data Rights
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you can request access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate details, deletion, restriction of processing or a portable copy of information you supplied. You may object where the legal basis permits. If a particular use is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent without affecting the lawfulness of earlier use.
Contact us using the details above and describe the information or conversation concerned. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity. Requests are normally handled without a fee and within one month, subject to the extensions and exceptions allowed by law.
We do not use enquiry information for solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects. The security checks that reject invalid forms are designed to protect the service; you can contact the house if you encounter a problem.
This catalogue and its business enquiry and fragrance-suggestion forms are intended for adults. We do not seek personal information from children. Please contact us if a child has submitted information that should be removed.
Questions And Complaints
We welcome the opportunity to address a concern. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. This does not prevent you from using other rights available under applicable law.
This notice will be reviewed as the website and its services develop. The date above identifies the latest published revision. If we introduce online sales, marketing subscriptions or other material uses of information, the relevant information will be provided at that stage.
